AND THOUGH IT’S ALWAYS SWEET SORROW TO PART

YOU KNOW YOU’LL ALWAYS REMAIN IN MY HEART

Allow me to play a little catch-up here. Honestly, this would have been so much better had I posted it when it happened!

Grrr-anyway, we had a last-minute Lawrence Welk pre-treatment party a few weeks ago and it was so many shades of deliciously wrong.

Why Lawrence Welk? Because he may be just as wrong as cancer and therefore the perfect mascot for Candyland.

Paul’s polka band played a horrifyingly wonderful version of “So long, it’s been good to know ya.”

More than one of you dipped into my medical Marijuana and became – shall we say – a titch unhinged?

There were bubbles and wigs and all kinds of inappropriateness befitting the end of an era (or at least, the break of an era).

Pictured above: Paula; Jack, Damon and Bill; Tamara and Margie; Tamsin and Calder; Abby and Heidi; the accordion player from Paul’s band (and by the way, very skilled photobomber!); Michael and Lindsay; Marty and Sam; Jeppa’s daughter (name, name, name, I blame this on the candy); Nora and Lisa.
