ON THE OTHER SIDE
This just in from China …
Rose and Saul hit Dali in the Yunnan mountains and jungles, where Rose said the area is filled with Yunnan Yetis, “weird human-like snow monkeys that are really creepy and cool.”
Then our intrepid travelers — staying in funky little hostels along the way — headed for Lijiang, where they hiked Tiger Leaping Gorge and saw “the most beautiful sunset ever— like a a cool pastel Miyazake film.”
The two have left behind the naked splendor of the Gorge and are now plumbing the glories of ShaXi.

Most missed? Mac ‘n’ cheese; mani-pedi, ‘hippy’ food, safe tap water and good chocolates.
