Kat the Magnifico walked eager fans through various tastings (olive oil, for example), culinary tricks, cooking secrets, writing tips and all kinds of fun stuff last night at The Larder (a cookbook store with a cute little demonstration kitchen in Fremont, who knew?). 

And if you don’t already know, Kat (Kathleen Flinn) wrote The Harder Your Knife: The Less You Cry, and her latest book, The Kitchen Counter Cooking School. She has another reading tonight at 7 p.m. at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park.
