I’ve had a couple of friends bemoan the rodeo as cruel. And yes, we perused the fair to take a break from some of the competitions. But I gotta say, those cowboys didn’t necessarily walk away on top. Many of them limped out of the arena after their spines had been whipped like overcooked spaghetti and their bulls and broncos trotted off to their feed bins, heads and tails held high.

Some of my favorite quotes from the announcer:

“That ride lasted about as long as a Hollywood marriage,” and “It must be a mare and she must be having a moment.”

Ha!
